It definitely needs to be fixed. Though if I had to pick, I’d rather they fixed the child genetics shirt first because THAT is infuriating!

I feel like this needs to be a patch thing that EA fix’s because I have gotten to a point where I move all the chairs out except for the ones they are sitting in haha

Oh man, I can totally relate to that and I might have to do that if the mod doesn’t work because it totally messes up conversation screenshots.

I hate that so much. I don’t think there is. I just age them up when the husband does, or shortly before/after =[

I don’t even understand why they did that? Maybe to prevent sims aging into an elder whilst their pregnant but I mean, in TS2 (dunno about TS3) they just couldn’t get pregnant 2-3 days before they were gonna age up and that makes way more sense to me.

I absolutely agree that this EP would have been perfect for vamps. And I actually want supernaturals to come with each EP. It’s such a part of this franchise. There’s something hinky as hell going on at EA and I’m struggling to understand it.

Exactly. Things have been going so well since release but now things are starting to feel a bit like they’re falling apart or just like they’re trying to glue things together and bits are falling off. There’s just something weird and not right going on.

Hahah, you and your werewolves. I’m not a Twilight person but werewolves vs vamps is an interesting thing and something I’d love to play around with in-game. Did they do that in TS3, werewolves and vamps at the same time? I don’t even remember.

Yeah I am too and I’m a big supporter of the game.

Ghosts did come free but i doubt it will be with vamps.

I guess they are not going to do the supernatural thing. It would have been great with the groups too because you could have had clans..

OMG, I DIDN’T EVEN THINK OF THAT, THAT WOULD WORK SO WELL UGHHH. Then you could have rival vamp clans fight with each other and be rivals ;-;

The ultimate irony here is that EA *finally* listens to a chunk of the community and stops inserting supernaturals into everyone’s games (and potentially leaves them for a dedicated EP) and other people who wanted them are not happy. They can’t win.

Maybe they’re doing a separate Supernatural EP? While I loved getting a new life state with each EP I know a lot of people hated it. So I can understand why not now but I’d like to know when they’ll actually give us new life states.

I completely understand that they’re in a difficult position and they can never please everyone, they’ve never been able to, it’s pretty much impossible. I’m sure there’s a huge chunk of people who are overjoyed at no vamps and were probably not interested in aliens at all. It is a huge problem with this community and this type of game because you have so many different types of players, you really cannot please them all.

I would love to be optimistic and hope that they’re doing a dedicated Supernatural EP but I dunno, I’m just not wanting to get my hopes up for it and be even more disappointed. And I also just feel like it would be a bit off for them to do a Supernatural EP when they introduced Aliens in GTW. Like it just doesn’t make sense. Why would they introduce Aliens in the first EP and then be like “ok, let’s forget about supernaturals now and leave it till x expansion and we’ll just throw the rest of them in there.”

I’m just really sad because like I said, it seems like the perfect environment and scene for vamps to come back and it’s just tradition and now it’s being broken and we’re seemingly not being given any reason or explanation for it. And if we were to be given a reason it would most likely be bullshit or not the complete truth.

And I just want to make it clear in all this ranting that I’m not hating on the game or the devs here, I’m just disappointed and I’m worried on where the game is going at this point. I’m still excited about all the other things coming and I think EAxis are doing better than they have in a while but this has really thrown me for a loop. I love this game and I want it to be the best it can be.

I totally agree with you- sometimes I feel guilty for wanting to buy shit for this game bc so many people complain and God forbid you don’t have the same opinions as them. I’m really excited for this stuff pack and dishwashers, I’ll spend the money!

I’m excited right along with you. And for some reason I’m sure that I read somewhere that we can sell ice cream cones and boxes/tubs in shops with GTW. How awesome is that? We can have an actual ice cream shop 😀

simpops, I totally hear you on the feeling guilty thing. It’s just like, when I see people complaining or making fun of people getting excited over content it makes me feel like I’m being silly and like you say, guilty. But then I just think no, I am excited and I am going to show my excitement because screw being moody and cynical about something I enjoy!

engrampixels Ooh really? I never saw anything about that but I assume it’s possible! I’m thinking it’ll be much like being able to run a bakery and sell baked goods. I can’t see why your sims can’t add an ice-cream maker to that and sell bowls of ice-cream!

So I decided to do a bit of investigating and see if I could estimate when Pets will come out for TS4.

The Sims 1

Fifth Expansion

Released in September 2002, 2 years and 7 months after The Sims released

Added Cats, Dogs, Birds, Fish and Reptiles

The Sims 2

Fourth Expansion

Released in October 2006, 2 years and 1 month after The Sims 2 released

Added Cats, Dogs, Womrats and Birds

The Sims 3

Fifth Expansion

Released in October 2011, 2 years and 4 months after The Sims 3 released

Added Cats, Dogs, Birds, Horses, Rodents, Snakes, Turtles, Lizards, Deer and Raccoons

So it seems most likely that Pets for TS4 will come out sometime around October 2016, if they follow the pattern of the previous games. I would say cats, dogs and birds are a given, as well as some small reptiles/rodents. Horses are what I’m not sure about but I would be very upset if they didn’t add them.

I think the next expansion coming this year will be Hot Date/Nightlife related most likely.

if both were to come out at the same time and i only had money for 1, itd be hot date/nightlife/late night, then pets. mostly because im apprehensive about how theyd make the fur…if itd be clay fur [like the sims hair] or what. im almost bordering not wanting to know honestly. i hope the next we get is city-related tbqh. i need my apartments, skyscrapers and high rises dammit.

If I had to pick between the 2, I’d definitely pick Pets. They just add so much to me. I mean, toddlers I can live without, but Pets I need. They make a family whole for me – it feels like something is missing right now and to me that’s having a little kitty or a couple of dogs running around, causing havoc.

I am very interested in how they’ll look. I think they’ll end up using a mix of clay and fur as even TS2 had some fur effects (always made my cats have huge bushy tails hehe). I can clearly picture horses with clay hair though, I think that would be really cute! I’m just really, really, really hoping they bring horses back. I’m so worried because we don’t have an open world anymore. The only thing that’s giving me hope is that we still had cars in TS2 even without an open world. SIMS 4 HORSES 2K16!!!

It could be a family themed Ep like toddlers or pets due to some clues in the game. I just hope we get rabbits and horses in ts4 pets. And deer etc. omg imagine ts3 and ts2 toddlers but with ts4 emotions, it’s exciting! And horse riding through granite falls !!! I also wonder if cows and sheep and chickens will be added

It could be but I’m not holding my breath for it. Rabbits would be really cute but I would prefer Womrats to make a comeback! Ahh horse riding in Granite Falls would be really lovely.

I AM DYING FOR CHICKENS. We’ve had our own chickens for years but just recently we started hatching our own chicks and omg they’re so cute. I would love, love, love to be able to have chickens in TS4 and run a little farm. But let’s be real, people have been asking for that since TS1 and it still hasn’t come so I’m not expecting it. Though we did get horses in TS3 after people wanted them for years, so I guess it’s possible.

engrampixels That would be nice but I’m not sure about it just because I don’t think they want to make any of the paid content reliant on other paid content. Like, if they made a farm-themed GP I feel like it would have to be linked to Pets somehow and I don’t think that’s what they want to do. Farm content would be amazing though.
