Wilson: “I’m just so happy to have you back.”Brigid: “Wilson, I don’t know if this is going to actually work…”–
Wilson: “I know, but we can try, at least. And I’ll do everything I possibly can to make it up to you, I swear. I love you, Brigid.”
Brigid: “But just know this – things will not be the same for a very, very long time. Do you understand?”Wilson: “I do, I know that I have to earn your trust back.”–
Brigid: “I can’t promise you’ll ever be able to earn it back. You’ll be on a very short leash from now on, that I can promise!”Wilson: “O-okay… If that’s how it has to be, then that’s how it will be.”
Wilson: “I can’t really explain it and I’m not sure you want to hear-”–
Brigid: “Fine! Don’t tell me what happened, because you’re right, I probably don’t want to know the details.”
Brigid: “I don’t even know where to start. Wilson, you really, really hurt me.”–
Wilson: “I know, I’m so sorry, Bri. I don’t know what else to say.”Brigid: “Well, you could explain what happened to me.”
Wilson: “Bri! I’m so, so glad you called me, I’ve been waiting! I’ve missed you so much!”–
Brigid: “Let’s just take a seat and talk.”
Brigid: Am I doing the right thing?
Brigid: “Mum. Dad. I’m so lost and confused, I don’t know what to do. I wish you were still here…”
She got a promotion, though she couldn’t help feeling sad about it rather than happy. Normally she would speak to Wilson as soon as she got home and tell him all about it and celebrate with him. But now she had no one.
