Doctor: “Congratulations on your promotion, Brigid. You deserve it – you work hard and it shows.”

Brigid: “Thank you! That hospital is basically my life, and I aspire to be as good a doctor as you one day.”

First official work night out.

A couple of new people started at the hospital so Brigid took some time to introduce herself and get to know them a bit.

Doctor: “Ah, really? The man who cheated and broke your trust after 8 years of being together? I thought you a stronger character than to take someone like that back, Brigid.”

Brigid: “Wha… Well. You don’t know much about my character, doctor. I love him and he loves me and I’m giving him another chance. That’s all there is to it.”

Brigid: “Doctor! Hello, how are things?”

Doctor: “Quite well, thank you, Brigid. What about yourself? How are things in your personal life faring?”

Brigid: “Oh, my personal life? Well… My boyfriend and I have gotten back together.”
