people once again bashing others for having different opinions/wants regarding the outcome of a stuff pack?

Elizabeth is outside right now playing on the water slide at 12am and all I can think is “it must be summer right now because you sure as hell wouldn’t be outside at 12am in the middle of winter”
So I’m hoping this Dine Out Game Pack announcement is going to be them telling us it’ll be released in the next week or so. It’s been far too long since we’ve had any news/decent content. And I mean I can’t even complain that much because I’ve had literally no time to even play TS4 for the past couple of months anyway (thank you Black Desert) so I can understand how frustrating it must be for people who have just been playing TS4 and waiting for news.
Do people not realise they did this with The Sims 1 > The Sims 2? I always assumed it was just a Sims tradition sort of thing. They re-make an older expansion then make a completely new one.
For example, The Sims: On Holiday > The Sims 2: Bon Voyage > The Sims 3: World Adventures. Ambitions was completely new. The Sims: Hot Date > The Sims 2: Nightlife > The Sims 3: Late Night Generations was completely new. The Sims: Unleashed > The Sims 2: Pets > The Sims 3: Pets.
I think The Sims: Livin’ It Up and House Party were mainly incorporated into the base game of The Sims 2. I don’t think The Sims: Superstar was incorporated into The Sims 2 at all (apart from maybe the reputation meter from Apartment Life?) though it was incorporated into The Sims 3: Late Night with the Celebrity stuff. The Sims: Makin’ Magic was also incorporated into The Sims 2: Apartment Life.
And I just noticed on the wiki there’s a new expansion noted down for 2012 called Showtime… Has anyone else heard about this? o.O
3 years ago and for TS3 but still relevent today with TS4.

I don’t get it. It’s the Sims 4′s one-year anniversary month and it’s been deathly quiet. And right after Rachel made such a huge deal out of new content releasing every month, so it’s even weirder. We’re halfway through September and there hasn’t been so much as a peep about what’s to come. If anything at all is coming this month.
I’m desperate for new stuff. What’s with the sudden silence?
I hadn’t realised until people started pointing it out… It is kind of weird. Does this mean they’re working on something big(ger)? In any case, we might all be a little addicted to getting new content every month. Who doesn’t like prezzies?!??
Exactly. I’m just hoping the silence is a good thing and they’ll surprise us with something bigger than usual, but who knows at this point. It’ll most likely be a little lamp and a pumpkin gnome or something and that’s it.
Even the Mac version of the game has that bug, which I find incredibly frustrating because it is such a pain in the ass…
Full edit mode is always what I use when going into CAS because I change skin details a lot but sometimes it takes me 7-8 tries of going in and out of CAS before the eye/brow/hair colour will actually stick. It’s even more annoying when you have more than 1 child sim and you go to change 1 of them and then the other child sim’s genetics get completely messed up when you didn’t even touch them!
For whatever reason when I switch my sim child’s hair or eyebrows, it insists on changing my sims’ eye color!!!!
omg, this is so frustrating. Do you think it could be an issue with editing with the full CAS cheat? Or does it happen in normal CAS as well?
Wow guys, this issue has been happening as far back as February (at least!) and it still hasn’t been fixed – has it even been acknowledged by EAxis? I’m so sick of it. It honestly makes me want to stop playing when it happens because it’s just so frustrating.

I WATCHED THAT TOO and I was fucking winking at my screen like “HEY, HEY VAMPS, HEYYYY”. And then this news comes out and I’m just so confused??? Did something change? Was she not talking about a supernatural life state at all there? Maybe it’s something similar to the bear in OR, idk.
I absolutely agree that this EP would have been perfect for vamps. And I actually want supernaturals to come with each EP. It’s such a part of this franchise. There’s something hinky as hell going on at EA and I’m struggling to understand it.
Exactly. Things have been going so well since release but now things are starting to feel a bit like they’re falling apart or just like they’re trying to glue things together and bits are falling off. There’s just something weird and not right going on.
Hahah, you and your werewolves. I’m not a Twilight person but werewolves vs vamps is an interesting thing and something I’d love to play around with in-game. Did they do that in TS3, werewolves and vamps at the same time? I don’t even remember.
The ultimate irony here is that EA *finally* listens to a chunk of the community and stops inserting supernaturals into everyone’s games (and potentially leaves them for a dedicated EP) and other people who wanted them are not happy. They can’t win.
Maybe they’re doing a separate Supernatural EP? While I loved getting a new life state with each EP I know a lot of people hated it. So I can understand why not now but I’d like to know when they’ll actually give us new life states.
I completely understand that they’re in a difficult position and they can never please everyone, they’ve never been able to, it’s pretty much impossible. I’m sure there’s a huge chunk of people who are overjoyed at no vamps and were probably not interested in aliens at all. It is a huge problem with this community and this type of game because you have so many different types of players, you really cannot please them all.
I would love to be optimistic and hope that they’re doing a dedicated Supernatural EP but I dunno, I’m just not wanting to get my hopes up for it and be even more disappointed. And I also just feel like it would be a bit off for them to do a Supernatural EP when they introduced Aliens in GTW. Like it just doesn’t make sense. Why would they introduce Aliens in the first EP and then be like “ok, let’s forget about supernaturals now and leave it till x expansion and we’ll just throw the rest of them in there.”
I’m just really sad because like I said, it seems like the perfect environment and scene for vamps to come back and it’s just tradition and now it’s being broken and we’re seemingly not being given any reason or explanation for it. And if we were to be given a reason it would most likely be bullshit or not the complete truth.
And I just want to make it clear in all this ranting that I’m not hating on the game or the devs here, I’m just disappointed and I’m worried on where the game is going at this point. I’m still excited about all the other things coming and I think EAxis are doing better than they have in a while but this has really thrown me for a loop. I love this game and I want it to be the best it can be.
