Only sims in the doctor profession can visit the hospital. If a playable sim is sick all they can do is order some medicine.
No actual restaurants or bakeries, just retail businesses.
Those are pretty big bummers to me. I’m still really excited for GTW and I’m sure I’ll love it but those things were pretty disheartening to read. Saying that, there are more things I’m looking forward to from the news;
Having babies at the hospital confirmed (as well as NPCs having their own babies – though the wording is a bit confusing. They said the game will spawn pregnant sims, so does the mean already existing NPCs still can’t get pregnant by themselves?).
Customise mannequins with up to 30 outfits.
New neighbourhood – Magnolia Promenade.
Photography skill introduces filter, group shots and more customising for in-game photos.
For whatever reason when I switch my sim child’s hair or eyebrows, it insists on changing my sims’ eye color!!!!
omg, this is so frustrating. Do you think it could be an issue with editing with the full CAS cheat? Or does it happen in normal CAS as well?
This is one of the most annoying fucking things ever. If you load a sim from the library that uses custom eyes you don’t have, you can’t fucking change the eyes. You have to randomise the eye shape to be able to pick a fuckng eye colour and then you lose the eye shape of the sim and you can’t get it back WHHYYYYY
I’ve recently seen (more than a few) people distributing their Mods folders wholesale, including the work of many creators who have policies that specifically prohibit re-uploading their content—not to mention those creators who may not have minded the re-uploading if the person had bothered to even mention a link to the original source. Worse, it seems like it’s presented as a charitable and friendly thing to do; the sentiment is almost always “now your game can look just like mine.” Besides the obviously misplaced sense of ownership, it just seems to me that ignoring the few simple conditions attached to freely shared content is a pretty poor way of showing your appreciation.
(Old Lady Grantham gif notwithstanding, I’m really not trying to provoke or guilt trip anyone. But I do think it’s important.)
Yep I can also confirm that each new TS3 EP was $40! If I recall correctly, there was a Katy Perry edition of Showtime that cost even more than that. Although to be fair, I remember people complaining that TS3 EPs were overpriced as well.
you’re exactly right & that’s the one i have btw! i also agree with you. it’s just that now people are saying that the new ts4 ep is too expensive even tho its the same price as ts3 ones, lol. i get that sims games are hella pricey but how can something be more expensive than another if they’re the same price??
I also just want to add that people are complaining about a $40 price tag as if it’s something that they’ll get bored of quickly and isn’t worth the price.
I’m fairly certain that anyone willing to spend that amount and is often on simblr or other sims-related sites will most likely be playing expansion content and TS4 in general for literally 100s of hours. $40 for over 100 hours of entertainment does not seem that expensive to me, when you compare it to $60 AAA console games or going to the cinema for a couple of hours which costs over £15 here!
So yeah, perspective. If you don’t think you’ll spend that much time with the expansion then don’t buy it or wait for it to go on sale. For many, many people $40 is nothing when compared to the amount of time we’ll spend with it and the new content it brings.
