Yeah I am too and I’m a big supporter of the game.

Ghosts did come free but i doubt it will be with vamps.

I guess they are not going to do the supernatural thing. It would have been great with the groups too because you could have had clans..

OMG, I DIDN’T EVEN THINK OF THAT, THAT WOULD WORK SO WELL UGHHH. Then you could have rival vamp clans fight with each other and be rivals ;-;

The ultimate irony here is that EA *finally* listens to a chunk of the community and stops inserting supernaturals into everyone’s games (and potentially leaves them for a dedicated EP) and other people who wanted them are not happy. They can’t win.

Maybe they’re doing a separate Supernatural EP? While I loved getting a new life state with each EP I know a lot of people hated it. So I can understand why not now but I’d like to know when they’ll actually give us new life states.

I completely understand that they’re in a difficult position and they can never please everyone, they’ve never been able to, it’s pretty much impossible. I’m sure there’s a huge chunk of people who are overjoyed at no vamps and were probably not interested in aliens at all. It is a huge problem with this community and this type of game because you have so many different types of players, you really cannot please them all.

I would love to be optimistic and hope that they’re doing a dedicated Supernatural EP but I dunno, I’m just not wanting to get my hopes up for it and be even more disappointed. And I also just feel like it would be a bit off for them to do a Supernatural EP when they introduced Aliens in GTW. Like it just doesn’t make sense. Why would they introduce Aliens in the first EP and then be like “ok, let’s forget about supernaturals now and leave it till x expansion and we’ll just throw the rest of them in there.”

I’m just really sad because like I said, it seems like the perfect environment and scene for vamps to come back and it’s just tradition and now it’s being broken and we’re seemingly not being given any reason or explanation for it. And if we were to be given a reason it would most likely be bullshit or not the complete truth.

And I just want to make it clear in all this ranting that I’m not hating on the game or the devs here, I’m just disappointed and I’m worried on where the game is going at this point. I’m still excited about all the other things coming and I think EAxis are doing better than they have in a while but this has really thrown me for a loop. I love this game and I want it to be the best it can be.

Idk why they’re not doing a life state, if anything it raises a warning sign about how hard the sim team is being pushed to churn out content when it’s missing things :/

I was apprehensive about that and like, I was thinking about it in the back of my head and just trying to push it down and not think about it. But after this, it’s becoming more and more apparent that that seems to be the case. As much as I love, love, love getting new content as quickly as we’re getting it, it’s just not worth sacrificing content in an actual EP that people are expecting. I’m just so disappointed 😦

You’ll need an extension of some sort. I think XKit has it’s own extension, MissingE probably has one as well but I use Tumblr Savior. There is a bunch of them you can try.

I love yankee candles so much. It’s only really been this year that I’ve gotten into them because I always said before “who would pay that much just for a candle!?” but then I smelt the Candy Cane Lane one and I just understood. Now I have 2 full size candles, 2 baby ones and a couple of melts. I wonder if they come out with any Halloween related ones…

I’m interested in zoo pictures! I want to know what animals you have in your zoos. I’d never even seen a porcupine before I went to the zoo in Singapore, lol.

There wasn’t any porcupines but there were lots of other interesting animals and dinosaurs! I’ll try and get the album uploaded tonight and I’ll share the link here 🙂

I KNOWWW. It was totally by chance I got him because I was preordering the new Bioshock pop vinyls and just saw the Limited Edition Zero in recommended products and I was like YES. I didn’t know it was a thing until then haha.

Tsum tsums! And I love that Can’t Sleep Coloring Book, it’s so fun and one of my faves besides the Enchanted Forest!

Ooh, I’ll have to check out the Enchanted Forest – it sounds amazing! And yes, Tsum Tsums, they’re so cute! I’m gonna have to watch the website like a hawk for The Lion King collection to come out because I NEEEED.

Hehe, so cute! I noticed on the back of his box there’s a bunch of other Limited Edition TNBC vinyls so I might have to see if I can grab them too, though I don’t think any of them glow in the dark.

I think they did overdose her, yeah. Kate was asleep/doped out for almost all of it, as Max comments on so they didn’t have any need to get rid of her. But Max says how Rachel was completely awake in one of the photos and looked pissed off, so she was well aware of what was going on which would give them reason to kill her. And on one of the photos Max also says Rachel has something in her mouth, which could be the results of the OD.

I totally agree with you- sometimes I feel guilty for wanting to buy shit for this game bc so many people complain and God forbid you don’t have the same opinions as them. I’m really excited for this stuff pack and dishwashers, I’ll spend the money!

I’m excited right along with you. And for some reason I’m sure that I read somewhere that we can sell ice cream cones and boxes/tubs in shops with GTW. How awesome is that? We can have an actual ice cream shop 😀

simpops, I totally hear you on the feeling guilty thing. It’s just like, when I see people complaining or making fun of people getting excited over content it makes me feel like I’m being silly and like you say, guilty. But then I just think no, I am excited and I am going to show my excitement because screw being moody and cynical about something I enjoy!

engrampixels Ooh really? I never saw anything about that but I assume it’s possible! I’m thinking it’ll be much like being able to run a bakery and sell baked goods. I can’t see why your sims can’t add an ice-cream maker to that and sell bowls of ice-cream!

Flares are my jam. They’re all I wore as a kid/teen. I put off getting into the skinny jean trend for as long as I could haha. I still have a few pairs that I’ve bought in recent years but they don’t fit me all that well 😦

Those flares do look a little too baggy for my taste though, so I’m hoping someone gets on that and tightens them up a bit in the thighs and bum!

You think paying car insurance, and rent sucks, wait till you have to fix your car. From the sounds of it though it looks like car insurance where you are costs about the same as it does in the States.

Oh god, don’t get me worrying about that, I don’t even have the car yet! Yeah, to be honest, everyone was expecting it to be more in £1k range so I’m happy I got it for more than half of that. It’s just a big chunk of money to pay all at once. At least it’s sorted now though and I don’t have to worry about it for a whole year.

Ugh, I know lol. As much as I complain about it though, I don’t think I’d go back. I’d much rather be working than be at school. School was incredibly hard for me – I wasn’t bullied or anything but I just felt completely out of place, I didn’t understand myself and that it was ok to be different. Bleh, it just wasn’t a good time, ha.

me too!! I have to admit though, if superstar is next, I will be a little miffed. I really want pets, university, or something toddler related.

I think the majority of us do but I won’t be mad if it’s Superstar because most likely it’ll incorporate Nightlife into it as well. So we’ll get restaurants and more dating options, I hope. Cars too. Maybe some vamps??

I do reaaaaally want Pets, Seasons and Uni, they’re my top priorities but I’m not gonna be disappointed if they don’t come out in the next year because typically we have to wait longer for them anyway. Also, I don’t mind waiting a bit longer if it means they’ll be done right. I really don’t want Pets to be half-assed and rushed.

I’ll of course buy it like always, but we already have bars in the base game. I prefer EP’s that affect in home play because I rarely travel outside of the home. I didn’t even do it in ts3. I don’t like too, so it wouldn’t really benefit me. I know that pets is unlikely next, because the average wait time is 2 years, but with how much people are bitching about toddlers, they’d be stupid not to do that soon. It’s already been almost a year. Plenty of time for EA to get them right. 

I don’t think we’ll ever get cars. I’m pretty sure one of the gurus said something along those lines. I wouldn’t mind getting vampires though. I never really played with them in ts3 but I might this time around. 

I’m in the same boat in that most of my sims are pretty much hermits – they go to work and then come home and just do stuff at home. I don’t send them out anywhere all that often, which I’m trying to change but I just feel like part of the problem is that there isn’t anything for them to do. They can go out and drink and have a dance but that’s really it? We have Spa Day now which is nice but it’s not really a date-y kinda thing. So a Nightlife/Hot Date expansion would be great for me, personally.

Really, no cars? That surprises me. I don’t really understand why because we had cars in TS2 where it was even more limited than TS4. We even had a helicopter lol. I barely played with vamps in TS2 as well so I’d love to see how they do them in TS4.
