Back over to the main legacy house, I was getting sick of it so I decided to rebuild. I was actually feeling really nostalgic for my old TS2 legacy house (I think this was their second house) so I went about trying to rebuild it as best I could from the screenshots I had.
I really want to get my old TS2 legacy added onto my tumblr for easier viewing (I’m reading through it again right now for nostalgia and inspiration) but I’m not sure how to go about doing it…
I don’t want to just add it to my queue because people might start following me expecting to see more TS2 stuff (which I have no plans on going back to anytime soon) and it would be going for literally months because there’s so much of it. I can’t add it privately because then it won’t show up in my tags, which is the main place I want it to go. And I also don’t want to add it to a separate blog because I want all of my sims stuff in the same place. Hmm…
I’m still working on getting everything uploaded and organised in one easy-to-access place but for now, here’s all the things included in my 2011 Secret Santa Gift to AgentCarlos 🙂
I didn’t have their files but managed finding three through this polish(?) filesharing site, two of them are here with still working links and the third one I can’t track down so I grabbed that and reuploaded here.
If @dionysus-dreams reuploads these I’ll take them down from this blog of course. 🙂 Meanwhile I’ll gladly rehost any other files people might have from them as long as the original links really are down.

I think I have all of my TS2 stuff on my downloads page (it’s a total mess right now because my theme doesn’t like the way I’ve added my thumbnails sigh), though a lot of the links might not work anymore. If there’s anything in particular you’d like reuploaded then just give me a shout 🙂
I’ve spent the majority of today going through Penny’s posts right from the beginning and archiving them on a new tumblr because I’m worried about LJ purging her account after it’s been so long, and photobucket deleting her screenshots.
Now I feel like playing TS2 again and uploading all of my old screenshots here too ;-;
It’s strange how I can miss someone so much when it’s been so long and we weren’t even close friends back then. Penny was such an inspiration to me and remembering her and the joy her posts gave just fills me with such… sadness. Sadness that she can’t spread that joy and inspiration anymore. And nostalgia to a time that I wish I could go back to and experience again. Experience that community and that friendship again. I know people laugh about LiveJournal and the ‘old days’ but… I miss it. It was something special, and Penny epitomises that.
I really miss her and I hope she’s doing well, wherever she is.
Do people not realise they did this with The Sims 1 > The Sims 2? I always assumed it was just a Sims tradition sort of thing. They re-make an older expansion then make a completely new one.
For example, The Sims: On Holiday > The Sims 2: Bon Voyage > The Sims 3: World Adventures. Ambitions was completely new. The Sims: Hot Date > The Sims 2: Nightlife > The Sims 3: Late Night Generations was completely new. The Sims: Unleashed > The Sims 2: Pets > The Sims 3: Pets.
I think The Sims: Livin’ It Up and House Party were mainly incorporated into the base game of The Sims 2. I don’t think The Sims: Superstar was incorporated into The Sims 2 at all (apart from maybe the reputation meter from Apartment Life?) though it was incorporated into The Sims 3: Late Night with the Celebrity stuff. The Sims: Makin’ Magic was also incorporated into The Sims 2: Apartment Life.
And I just noticed on the wiki there’s a new expansion noted down for 2012 called Showtime… Has anyone else heard about this? o.O
3 years ago and for TS3 but still relevent today with TS4.
