Hello! Brigid is super cute, and I’m sure you’re not doing anything out of malevolence, but can you please avoid giving white Sims dreads? They’re black culture, and white people having them (even in a game) is appropriation. Thank you! ^^

First of all, you clearly don’t even read my legacy or bothered to do any research before sending this ask because Brigid isn’t even white. This guy right here? That’s her dad. So how about you don’t just assume someone’s race because they don’t look black enough.

And second of all, no. I’m not gonna do that. I’m sorry if you’re offended by this and you’re free to unfollow me (which I doubt you even are to begin with since you didn’t know Brigid’s background) but this is my game, and I hate to sound like a spoilt toddler but I’ll do what I want.

Honestly, I wouldn’t have been all that annoyed with this ask if it was about one of my sims who was actually white since you’ve been polite about it but come on. All you had to do was look at the family tree to see Brigid isn’t even white.

Do you play on normal lifespan?

I do, yeah.

I’ve actually been considering changing it to long since I feel like things have been going by too quickly recently. But I think that once I get Brigid/Elizabeth/Frank/Andrew moved out onto their own then long might just be too long and it’s gonna take forever to get through the generation.

That’s already answered on my FAQ here. I have all of the steps made into an action so I don’t have to do too much to it myself – I just adjust the brightness/contrast on each image so they’re not too bright.

How do you do the instant message / texting pics for your legacy?

I searched for Whatsapp/Text PSD templates and found a couple different ones that I liked (here and here). Then I sort of combined them both into one to make something that I liked. I don’t mind sharing the PSD I made if anyone else wants to use it, just send me an ask or an instant message 🙂

Over the last two days I read through your entire legacy and now I’m a teeny bit obsessed. And the Gen 3 kids are adorable!

I don’t even know what to say! I’m amazed and humbled that you would do that. And I’m so happy you’re enjoying it! I love the Gen 3 kids too, I have sooo much planned for them and I can’t wait for it all to start and get properly in motion. Some things have started already but it’ll be a while before it gets posted.

Do you know how to resize selfies/pictures

Hmm, I’m not exactly sure what you mean. If you mean how to get selfies from sims taken in-game, they’re now saved to your screenshots folder in My Documents at full-size without the lines and everything.

If you mean in-game, then I think you can take different sized selfies by using one of the higher end cameras, rather than your sims’ phone.
